Kartik Purnima (Odia: କାର୍ତ୍ତିକ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିମା) 2021 Wishes Images, Quotes, Status, Photos, Messages: Karthika Purnima is celebrated on the full moon day of Shukla Paksha in the Kartik month. This holy day is celebrated in Odisha for Boita Bandana. As per mythology, the businessmen from Odisha used to travel to different islands on this auspicious day.
This festival is also known as Deva Deepavali or Panchaka Purnima. Kartika Purnima is also the birthday of Matsya, god Vishnu's fish-incarnation (avatar). It is also the birthday of Vrinda, the personification of the Tulsi plant, and of Kartikeya, the god of war and son of Shiva. This day also is considered special for Radha, the lover of Krishna - Vishnu's incarnation. It is believed that Krishna and Radha danced rasa and Krishna worshipped Radha on this day.
