Dhanu Sankranti (Odia: ଧନୁ ସଂକ୍ରାନ୍ତି) is the 1st day of Pousa, the 9th month in the Odia calendar. On this auspicious festival, a special prasad, Dhanu Muan is offered to Lord Jagannath and Sun.

Dhanu Muan (Odia: ଧନୁ ମୁଆଁ) is a delicious Odia food dish mostly popular in Odisha. It's a crisp ball made of puffed rice and jaggery. Now people are making this with Sugar instead of Jaggery.
Dhanu Muan is considerably more famous in the Ganjam district, and visitors often want to try it when they visit. Lots of small stores open during the month of Pusha to sell Dhanu Muan, although nowadays, you may find similar shops all year.
